The clubs participating will wear new jerseys inspired by historic editions of their history during the 31st round in Primera and the 35th round in Segunda. Real Valladolid will participate in LaLiga's Retro Day, which will take place from April 10 to 13, 2026. This unprecedented action in European professional football will see 38 clubs from LaLiga EA Sports and LaLiga Hypermotion take to the pitch with new jerseys inspired by iconic editions of their past, accompanied by referees who will wear a special design through the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) of the RFEF. LaLiga's Retro Day is born as a tangible expression of “a very alive legacy”, turning the history of the clubs into an experience that is exciting, celebrated, and also worn on the pitch. The historic jerseys, reinterpreted for the current competition, act as a bridge between generations, connecting the origins of the fans with the way football is lived today. An initiative that unites football and fashion on the pitch itself, placing LaLiga as the only one of the five major European leagues to drive a joint action of this kind. During the 35th round of LaLiga Hypermotion, in which the Pucela will receive Eibar at Zorrilla, and the 31st round of LaLiga EA Sports 38 clubs will join this initiative, wearing retro-inspired jerseys based on historic models of their history. The collection that will never go out of style LaLiga's Retro Day gives shape to “the collection that will never go out of style”, a proposal that turns the history of the clubs into a contemporary trend. The participating jerseys will be presented on March 19 at the MBFWMadrid, bringing the legacy of Spanish football to one of the main international showcases of the creative industry. A natural union between football and fashion that transcends the pitch and places the identity of the clubs at the center of the cultural and creative conversation. Jaime Blanco, Director of LaLiga's Club Office, has highlighted that “Retro Day is a unique opportunity to pay homage to the history of our clubs and the symbols that have marked generations of fans. It's a way to bring the past to the present and continue building experiences and forging the legacy that connects emotionally with the fans. That this collection is presented at the Spanish Fashion Week is the perfect showcase to project that identity beyond the pitch and place football at the center of the cultural and creative conversation.” A 360-degree experience LaLiga's Retro Day will extend beyond the jerseys and the development of the matches, configuring itself as a transversal initiative that will involve clubs, talents, legends, sponsors, and other actors in the LaLiga ecosystem. Among them, the LEGENDS collection, The Home of Football, a unique space that already collects the history of world football and will be the main protagonist of this project in the coming months. The audiovisual experience will incorporate retro-style graphics, with a specific visual identity that will transfer this narrative to the television and digital environment, while various physical and digital activations will amplify the reach of the event, before and after it.
