Real Valladolid president Gabriel Solares has announced a 15 million euro injection into the club, despite the team's poor season. In a press conference, Solares rejected the sale of the club, despite an offer from a group led by Ignacio Crespo. The president assured that there is no interest in selling the club and that the injection of funds is to strengthen the team's structure. Solares also announced the creation of a Consultative Council with prominent figures, such as José Vicente de los Mozos, former CEO of Indra, and former president of Renault in Spain. The council's goal is to help improve the club's situation and find solutions to the problems the team has had in the current season. Solares acknowledged that the selection of the two first coaches, Almada and Tevenet, was an error and that the selection of Tevenet was not accurate because his characteristics did not match what had been worked on with Guillermo. The president also announced that the team's budget limit will be around 10 million euros and that the goal is to have a team with quality and professionalism, with a 20% of canteranos.
